Unspoiled Sunrise

For my last weekend before I went home to Florida for a few weeks, Scotty and I planned to do something adventurous. This ended up meaning booking an airbnb up at our favorite - Whale Beach. The room overlooked Dolphins Bay which is right around the corner.

We went for some pizza in Newport, one of his favorite suburbs along the Northern Beaches, and we fell asleep listening to the sound of waves on the shore.

In the morning, we set the alarm so we could watch the sunrise from our window. Even though we had neighbors, the houses have so much privacy from the surrounding trees so we felt like we had the view all to ourselves.

We explored the “backyard” of the house - it sloped down to a private deck where we could appreciate the unspoiled views of the scenery.

For breakfast, we headed up to The Boathouse at Palm Beach. The past few months have been so crazy with uni and work that we hadn’t treated ourselves to breakfast in forever. Of course that meant we enjoyed it that much more!

On the way back, Scott asked me if I’d like to “go for a barefoot walk on the beach” to which I of course replied yes! (Usually he is surfing and I walk on the beach by myself so I take the chances I get haha). We walked over around the corner from Whale Beach along the rocks to see our airbnb from a different perspective.

It's so easy to feel happy in Sydney and with every new experience, I feel more and more appreciative I am here.
